It is said that "three weeks in the lab can save a whole day of simulations"... Obviously a wise project manager prefers to catch bugs early on in the project. Not only is it easier to fix bugs at this stage, but the success at each stage can be leveraged to make the next easier and painless. In particular early decisions at the architecture definition stage can have a huge impact on the health of the design and the ease of its productization.
We would like to make ourselves available to discuss openly your architecture requirements and other design needs, so that the path to silicon is as smooth as possible and ultimately leads ro a successful product.
Silicon Proven
One of the options available either as part of an IP design project or as stand-alone,
is to design a test-chip. This can be thought of as a natural risk mitigation step, or as a complete turn-key
solution.
In the case the customer desires to integrate an analog macro into a large digital chip, the analog portion
can be taped-out in anticipation of the full-chip in order to be fully tested and characterized. This can be
done together with a minimal digital interface, or even with a design intended to interface with an FPGA proto-
type.
Where the product is mostly analog, the test-chip becomes the product itself. This can be proto-typed in limited
quantities initially, and ramped-up for full mass production. We include in the services testing and characterization
activities, such that this is a full custom chip solution, and at very competitive prices.
